Health InfoOvarian cancer is a very important but often do not receive the necessary attention. Although not part of the most common types of cancer, is one of the most deadly if not caught early. Some early symptoms include recurrent pain in the stomach and pelvis, usually eating problems and excessive swelling of the abdomen.

This disease still has no effective screening test as many of your symptoms are linked to other ailments. For this reason it is always advisable annual checkups and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Obese women are more likely to develop this cancer, so it is recommended to follow a healthy diet.

An interesting point is that women who take birth control pills for a period exceeding 5 years are less likely to suffer this disease. Keep in mind that ovarian cancer does not differ in age and may suffer as a girl of 20 years as a woman who has already gone through menopause.
