Sunscreen Even in Winter
Sunday, February 12th, 2012
with the arrival of the first snow we all approach the nearest sports store, we do it with a sledge and we got to spend Sunday endless mountain. These are the ski and do not know that those who dominate the sport, known as the opening of the tracks, put on their skis and no longer move them there all winter.
Although not see it, the sun is there, with its radiations that cause problems in our skin. In the snow we also have double jeopardy ultraviolet radiation coming from the same sun and we reflected the white snow.
That’s why we should not forget protection to kick us out half an hour before our sleigh and repeat the procedure every two hours. The cap and sunglasses should be our constant companions and our lips must remain hydrated and protected with sunscreen lip balm.
The most dangerous periods are three:
- At noon, because that is when the sun is high and its rays affect us more strongly.
- When the day is clear and there are no clouds to obstruct contact with our skin
- Since February, when daylight hours increase.
Athletes practicing outdoor activities are the group most likely to develop skin cancer by the number of hours they are exposed to sunlight. They are the ones that have to be more careful and aware of its serious problems can develop if not taken care of responsibly. Throw some cream from time to time does not cause a great effort.
